Wedding Singer

After dining on Sushi and Saki I was entertained by a wedding singer. No, I wasn't at a wedding. But I was entertained to the "T". Karoke is definetely a sport. One has to have practiced such an art to be so proficient. Could a person truly sound so skilled on a crappy microphone reading words ensemble? At what point does someone realize that they should do a side show? I must admit the two songs that I so graciously performed were not up to par. Had it been that long since I've sang? Let's see...graduated highschool in 1998...wasn't in choir...yep it was quite the performance. I pondered later that evening on the song selection. Did it make since to be singing about an Uptown Girl or perhaps even a Material Girl? Was there a pattern here? Goal for next Karoke night...get the husband to sing!

Karaoke is not about practice or skill, it is truly about purging all fear, regret, embarassment, and doubt in order to fulfill the whole goal of singing--feeling better than when the song began.

There are only a two actions that allow my brain to actually shut off and think in the present--riding my bicycle and karaoke.
